[Solved] setup on httpd Fedora 17
  • Hello,
I have succesfully installed flatpress on an Aruba linux server.
Since I find it's boring to upload each change on my site to test it I'd like to run my site locally.
I have started the httpd service of my Fedora 17, it's Apache 2.2.
I have then copied my flatpress directory in the /var/www/html folder and granted 777 rigths with:
    chmod -R 777 flatpress
    When I run setup.php I get this:

    Welcome to FlatPress

    Thank you for choosing FlatPress!

Before you can start having fun with your brand new blog, we have to ask you a very few questions.

Don't worry, it won't take you long!

The only thing you need for FlatPress to work is a writable directory.

Please make this directory writable before you continue.

    fp-content/

and when I click on NEXT nothing happens...

here how I have setup the permmmissions

  • Hi, what about SELinux? Have you set the context?
I used Fedora, but it had SELinux that I hated.

    It should work.
  • I have disable SELinux (that I thought I already did) and the issue has been solved.
In future I plan to better understand how SELinux works...
  • Selinux is one of the reason why I switched to Debian :-)
