User avatars in Vanilla
  • New users (and old) don't seem to have the option to choose/change their avatar anymore. I think this has been the case since the upgrade to Vanilla 2.

Anything can be done to get those back to add a bit of colour to the forum?

  • they just have to use their gravatar address
  • I can't seem to be able to change my avatar on my own and I don't know how to use my Gravatar address either.

What should I do in order to change my forum avatar on here?

  • click on your user name and you should see a link to change your pic
  • That's the thing, I don't see any link that has to do with avatars.

All I got under my pic are the following links:
    Edit My Account
    Change My Password
    My Preferences
    Quote Settings

I didn't see options related to avatars in any of those links.
  • You are right, I can't find it too.
It was on the old version of Vanilla maybe...
  • that's strange because I can do that. I've PM'd you with a link. It might be a bug with the forum software
  • well it looks like a known issue

    with no solution of course
    WHAT DID YOU SEE http://xkcd.com/979/
  • Weird.

In page 2, the guy is saying it had to do with roles permissions in dashboard.
Permissions for members - the Edit checkbox in the profile row. Wasn't working before but is now.

I guess you already checked that one out though.
  • the interesting part is that there is no such thing
