Error with Twitter Plugin
  • Did Twitter change something on their side?

    I just noticed that my Twitter plugin always returns an error when checking for new tweets.

    Fatal error: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array in /home/fp-plugins/twitter/plugin.twitter.php on line 159

    I made sure the twitter.last file (Which line 159 is about, basically) was there with the proper permission. The file is fine.

    I seriously have no idea for how long it's been that way. I remember deleting a post that came from Twitter the other day. Is it possible that it somehow messed up the plugin?

    I'm using FP 1.0.
  • sadly, they did. Here is what the response look like

     { ["errors"]=> array(1) { [0]=> object(stdClass)#11 (2) { ["message"]=> string(119) "The Twitter REST API v1 is no longer active. Please migrate to API v1.1. https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview." ["code"]=> int(68) } } }

  • NoWhereMan, do you know if you guys will be able to come up with a new plugin?

  • I, myself, don't think so. The new API is quite complicated and I don't think I have the time to spend on it. Maybe someone else does, though.
  • this should be useful

  • Tweetledee looks like what we'd need to update the old twitter plugin. I have no idea how to work it out on my own. :(
