Great, thank you very much Fraenkiman! :)
Indeed, I have tested on many of my blog entries: by replacing the html coding for images by the BB Code, and publishing again → there it is, the preview is available when I post the link on Linkedin! 8-)
Sincerely,
Docthib

The good news: the blog is functional with this change
Less good news: when copying the address ...

No, thank you, don't bother.
I will just replace the new files, and keep you posted.
Thanks again for the help. As you might have noticed, I am not a programmer

Re: how do I change the image preview of a blog post?
Dear Frank,
thanks for the plugins.
TLDR: I cannot access anymore admin.php or the welcome page of the blog.
Here are the details:
1. Create a backup of the SEO Mata Tag plugin and the Readmore plugin; or of the entire FlatPress instance.
2. Please copy the patched files into your FlatPress ...

Re: how do I change the image preview of a blog post?
Thank you very much, Fraenkiman !
From what I undertand, you have re-written the plugin SEO meta tag: much appreciated!
I am currently making a whole backup of the blog, and then I will proceed with the rest of the steps, and keep you posted.
Excellent week-end to you,
Sincerely,
Docthib

Re: how do I change the image preview of a blog post?
Code: Select all
Currently, there is no plugin that passes an image via Open Graph to social media for each post.I will try to find a quick and dirty workaround (if I manage to think about one), or I will let it rip...

Re: how do I change the image preview of a blog post?
Dear all,
I am replying to myself. Problem not solved, but progress made, so I document my thoughts here, if that can help anyone with the same problem.
What I called a blog "post" is actually a blog "entry" in FP jargon, so I refined my search of the forum using this word instead.

Re: Disable preview of a blog post?
Hi,
thanks for the followup!
I tried it, and it did not work: the preview shows your whole message. I also tried with a colon ":"" instead of the dot ".", and also by changing the lines – nothing works.
So I came back to my initial question, and solved the problem.

Re: Disable preview of a blog post?
Hi Rainer,
thank you very much, I will try that... as soon as I know which file I have to modify the fatal heading of :)
Would you know by chance which is the file that "generates" the page to edit a blog post?
