Dunno how your server is setup, but if you create a new subdomain, e.g., forum-archive.flatpress.org, you could probably select a different PHP version for that subdomain.
Already in April 2022 I created this small plugin.
It will count the number of pages in your FlatPress instance.
Pages are either entries, draft entries, or static pages ('statics').
Today I noticed that I'm unable to open some topics or posts. They just show up as a blank (white) page in my Firefox browser. I now tried Chromium with a new incognito window. I never used WordPress, but here a few links to get you started: WordPress exporter -- The 2017 version of a script for exporting FP data to WP version 2.8 database structure. You could use it as a starting point for your experiments. You probably need to change the script to match later WP versions...
