does your blog title contain non-ASCII characters such as German umlauts? Because in this case, the email isn't sent properly.
We just added a fix, it will be part of FlatPress 1.3.

possibly it's your local browser caching the old favicon.
Does the icon change after "hard" reloading your blog with Ctrl+F5?

thank you very much for reporting, I opened an issue.
Working on the Responsive Admin (that is, FlatPress 1.4) will take some time, though...first we have to finish 1.3.
