Solved my problem by also purging the theme and template cache in case anyone else has this issue moving forward.

My client has a website where they post daily audio files. They ran into an issue today and I needed to rebuild the index. It's been about an hour and I'm still not seeing any of their previous posts...that go all the way back to 2019! I still see everything is on the server, but not showing up on t...

I think the problem is resolved. I'm thinking maybe I didn't give it enough time before hitting the back arrow in my browser.
Either way, after rebuilding the index a 3rd time and waiting a few minutes I think it is back to normal.

I just tried to rebuild the index to fix a problem, but when it completed I went back and every post is now gone!
