Okay, this is interesting - maybe wrong transfer mode (ASCII/binary)? Nevertheless, glad it works now!

We've just released the bugfix release FlatPress 1.3.1 .
In case you experienced problems running FlatPress 1.3 "Andante" on HTTP-only servers or behind reverse proxies / load balancers, you may want to update.

Here's the latest news on that issue: I put it all together in the issue371_httphttps branch.
Can you please perform a final test with the latest version of that branch? If all works fine, this will be released as FlatPress 1.3.1.

Hi, the theme breaks because of the {php} tags in header.tpl and comments-default.tpl. This is not supported in Smarty 4 any more (see change log).
So the logic there needs to be reworked completely.

On some hosts there may be no choice. For example InfinityFree doesn't seem to provide automatic HTTPS on free accounts.

the archive widget on the site shows the year and month as containing content
