Re: First beta release of FlatPress 1.2 "Legato": Please help testing
Well. Of course updating PHP s better. But if removing a few spaces solves a problem for one user and does no harm to any other? Seems like a no brainer to me. Remove the spaces and make someone happy. Detlef Which is why I recommended him to do so if he wishes. I simply don't believe there won't b...

Re: First beta release of FlatPress 1.2 "Legato": Please help testing
I disagree, not all users have the option to upgrade the server. I think backward compatibility is better, after all, delete only a few space. Again, PHP 7.0 reached its end of life on December 3rd, 2018. It is important that everyone uses the latest PHP versions, not only for security reasons but ...

Re: First beta release of FlatPress 1.2 "Legato": Please help testing
Updated my dev blog using the extremely simple "upgrade/update only" package. Was a doddle, and everything seems to be working smoothly! https://clockworkknight.com/flat/?x=entry:entry210209-131343 Being honest, after updating the PHP to use 7.4 instead of 7.3 on the server side, my 1.1 in...

Re: Eagleman's Flatpress
Taking a look, you seem to have a clear direction for the content of your site, which is very nice indeed~
I'm always interested to see how people use their Flatpress installs in comparison to my own, so thanks for sharing!

Re: What does everyone hope to see in the next version?
There is the advice about a single file at a time, but it is seemingly for small updates and bug fixes. I think it would be handy to know exactly what files are 100% needed to be updated between 1.1 and 1.2, and which are more optional. I will publish an update package 1.1 to 1.2 which contains jus...

Re: Use PHP in entries
This is a very interesting question. I would not bother searching for a direct answer, though. Because this is exactly what the plugins are for :) Once familiar with their neccessary programming interfaces, you can freely create any PHP logic, let's say, a random number generator. Make sure your pl...

Use PHP in entries
Edit Arvid: This used to be an answer on the topic "include other content" . Since this is a very interesting question for itself, I felt free to create this new topic with it. A question... is it actually possible to use PHP in flatpress entries and static pages? There are certain things...
