Hi all,
first time user here.
Using the default theme (leggero v2) with german as language setting. The menu items on the right side of the scree are not working at all.
Clicking on one off them bring an error 500 up
no entry id given in the underlying url:
https://xxxyyy,de/2025/07/03/gassi-gang/
All help very much appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Menu items are not woring properly
Hello 19brumm70,
the behavior is strange. However, I cannot reproduce it either, although I also test entries in FlatPress 1.4.1, some of which are already 10 years or older. Even in the RC1 and RC2 phase I could not detect such a problem.
How did you perform the update and according to which instructions?
Did you rebuild the index and delete the theme and template cache?
Was the Pretty URLs plugin active and what settings did you choose in this plugin?
In the admin area, use the main menu "Wartung" and the submenu "Zeige Supportdaten". This may tell us more about the circumstances under which the error occurred.
If the problem occurs again, please narrow down the problem and deactivate all plugins that are not standard.
Best regards
Frank

Hello fraenkiman,
the installation is running on a webspace from all-inkl.com. I updated the installation via the update zip package. Maybe this caused the problem.

Re: Menu items are not woring properly
Hello 19brumm70,
I created a one-week demo account at all-inkl.com for testing purposes. Even uploading the individual FlatPress 1.3.1 files via FTP was very difficult.
In the end, I proceeded as follows:
1.) Deleted previous uploads.
2.) Uploaded FlatPress 1.3.1 as a ZIP archive via FTP.
3.) Logged in via SSH and unzipped the archive. Unzipping archives is also supposed to work via KAS.
4.) Set file and directory permissions via SSH.
5.) Run FlatPress setup.
This brought me to roughly the same state as you.
6.) Uploaded 1.4.1 update package as a ZIP archive.
7.) Unzipped the update package via SSH.
8.) Run FlatPress setup again to regenerate the user and password.
9.) In the FlatPress admin area -> Maintenance, recreated the index, cleared the template cache, and set the file and directory permissions.
Done.
My impression is that you should not upload FlatPress unzipped to all-inkl.com, otherwise something will be lost. Limits may apply.
My recommendation:
Download version 1.3.1 from all-inkl.com, unzip if necessary, update to 1.4.1, pack, upload, unzip, run FlatPress setup to recreate the user and password.
As a bonus: Before uploading, test locally with XAMPP to see if the update worked as desired.
Best regards,
Frank

Re: Menu items are not woring properly
Hi,
thank you very much @frankieman.
Now all menu items are working. Now however the buttons above the editor window (e.g. dropdown element for images) aren't workling anymore.
It's something with the webspace, because local installation works as expected
Thanks again for you support.

Hmm, strange.
Your old version was 1.3.1. Did you install both update packages?
1.) Update package 1.3 (or 1.3.1) to 1.4
2.) Update package 1.4 to 1.4.1
You can also copy the second one locally into the first one and then update from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1 in one go.
