The Media Manager I see in Flatpress is not very useful for me. I need a view with not too small previews (Thumbnails) of the images. So I'm used from Wordpress.
The Media Manager only shows a list with a "Media Icon"
Not a preview.
- Is there a preference / setting where I can get my Preferred prview?
- Or alternatively an other Media Manager Plugin or similar?

Hello Rainer,
The Media Manager does not support preview images as icons. Currently, this is the only file and image management tool for FlatPress. Alternatively, you can take a look at
TinyFile Manager. It offers a preview when you hover over the image with your mouse. If this is an improvement for you, I can try to port this feature.
Best regards,
Frank

My quick and dirty version
Hi fraenkiman,
thx, that indeed is some progress.
But what I need an overview lie this:
So I can quickly select an image from the overview which matches with my needs – much faster than searching with hovering over all my hundreds of images.
Advantage of FlatPress / Dokuwiki: no Database required. I wuod have to updgrade to a more expensive account at my web hoster for an additional database.

And ...
I see the new feature in the latest 1.5.1s, and for my work with Flatpress that is a real progress. Not yet comparable to the user-friendliness of WordPress Media Manager, but it is a very helpful first step!

Hello Rainer,
I will leave this request unfulfilled for now in 1.5. However, I could imagine a plugin that offers an alternative media manager.
Anyone who wants to can propose a draft for such a plugin here.
Best regards,
Frank

Hi Frank,
I think the Media Manager needs a complete overhaul. We need at every picture
- License Info
- Caption, may be with Hyperlink function
- May be Image description for accessibility reasons
- May be moe?
Currently I haven't enough knowledge to find out what the best way might be.
