STR:
- I Visit FlatPress support forum, logout if necessary
- I login with my "Deutsch (Du) Account
Apage appears in German Language
Same observation in other Browsers EDGE, Chromium, Seamonkey
How can I see the German Language without being logged in? My FF Browser preferred language for Web Pages already is German. Ad I did not see a forum preference "German"
New here. I am planning to switch from Wordpress to FlatPress. But it seems hard ...

That's something different Translation (by Browser tool) is not what I want. And of course โ I know the browser tool "Translation"
My question was concerning this effect โ Translation into German as if by magic:
Please see the
https://urbanists.video/w/u83afvy8HbgKcMVdN2ZBjV!
Which magic changes Language after my login? Shown language is related to chosen language in my Forum Profile. When I modify my language to French there FAQ page will be shown in french language. Perfect for registrated users, but how can visitors see the page(s) in not-Enlish Language?

Hello Rainer,
I don't know the version and source code of phpBB. Arvid knows more about this as the administrator.
phpBB uses English as the default language, but this can be overridden
after logging in using
?language=xx and a cookie.
https://www.phpbb.de/xref/3.3/phpbb/user.php.source.html
Have a good night's rest.

Hi, the phpBB forum software has a configured standard language - which we set to English in order to be accessible by most of the users. As soon as you log in, the forum changes to the language you set in your personal preferences.
Please note that this does not change the language of the DokuWiki itself. It is just a page written in German (that is sorted into the "de" namespace).

Only with browser plugins or translations tools as described.
I'm not aware of a possibility to let phpBB automatically set its language based on the clients browser settings, sorry.
All the best,
Arvid

Response:
"... It does not attempt to detect from the browser's settings, though there is a commented out section in user.php if the board owner wants to try to support that."
