In \fp-content\index\ there's a few .dat files created and I think I need to edit them after I created an entry that probably messed up my whole blog!
I made a few posts today and ended up with a messy file that I needed to edit, but the complete entry wasn't visible due to my messup. Probably a HTML-tag in the wrong place messed everything up, so I tried creating anew post, but the messed up one was still there.
I tried deleting it from the manage entries - but nothing happens.
So I tried actually deleting everything I just published by deleting the actual files via FTP.... That didn't work either - and now I finally find 4 .dat-files in that index-directory also with today's date on them.
I tried opening them in notepad++, with no luck. I can open them - but not read them.
The files are called: index.strings.dat, index-0.dat, index-3.dat and index-4.dat
Edit: Nevermind - This issue was actually fixed this by using Rebuild Index in Admin -> Maintenance! Puh!
edit dat-files?
