How to Re-ORDER entries??
How can I re-order the sequence in which my blog entries appear?

Re: How to Re-ORDER entries??
Hi AtaraxiA,
If you want to change the order, you can only do so by date and time. FlatPress displays the most recent posts at the top.
If there aren’t too many posts to reorder, copy the post text from the editor and paste it into a new post. Before you save the new post, you can use DateChanger to change the creation date.
Best regards,
Frank

Re: How to Re-ORDER entries??
Thank for your reply.
I found this in the 'Instructions' for the DateChanger plugin. It explains my problem: My entries have already been published.
Description
-----------
Lets you change the publish date for (new) entries. Therefore, it adds the edit interface with a date drop down menu.
This plugin only works for NEW entries. Once published, the date cannot be changed again!
[/end]
So, it sounds like the only remedy might be to copy/paste my old entries into new ones so that I can add an appropriate date to change their order.
There's got to be a better way. Maybe this should be a 'feature request'??
Thanks again!

Re: How to Re-ORDER entries??
FlatPress’s memory architecture dates back to the SPB days and is described here and here. For the sake of backward compatibility of the core and the plugins, I’d be reluctant to tinker with it.AtaraxiA wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2026 5:03 pm There's got to be a better way. This request has been around for several years now. I’m currently working on the Mastodon integration, which, by the way, is built on top of this legacy memory architecture.
As soon as I come up with something brilliant—like Doc Brown slipping on the toilet seat
