Apparently, the “Blogbase URL” isn't clearly defined.
I see that you accessed the installed 1.5.1 instance via HTTPS.

However, when I look at the source code, I find:
href="http://lantaca.altervista.org/fp151/fp- ... /style.css...
Unbenannt_02.png
Unbenannt_02.png (5.34 KiB) Viewed 573 times

This causes the stylesheet to fail to load.

If possible, log in to the admin area and go to “Configuration.” Check there to see if the blog’s URL actually starts with https. If not, correct it.
Then clear the theme and template cache.

Hi,
when I set the blog address to https, a new problem arises... ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. so i can't go to clean the caches :-)
and this is a new fresh installation without personalization

i have installed the 1.4.1 https://lantaca.altervista.org/fp141/ No problem here

i have installed the 1.5 https://lantaca.altervista.org/fp15/ same problem ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

When installing version 1.4.1, my blog's address was automatically set to https://...
When installing versions 1.5 or 1.5.1, the address is set to http://..., and I have to change it manually.

Check the file fp-content/config/settings.conf.php:

Code: Select all

$fp_config = array (
  'general' =>
  array (
    'www' =>

Delete the fp-content/cache and fp-content/compile directories, for example, via FTP.

Code: Select all

$fp_config = array (
  'general' =>
  array (
    'www' => 'https://lantaca.altervista.org/fp151/',
    'title' => 'FlatPress',
    'subtitle' => 'My FlatPress blog',
    'footer' => '',
    'author' => 'Lantaca',
    'email' => 'yxz@email.com',
    'startpage' => NULL,
    'maxentries' => 5,
    'notify' => true,
    'theme' => 'leggero',
    'style' => 'stringendo',
    'blogid' => 'fp-aabbccdd',
    'charset' => 'utf-8',
  ),

cache deleted, but always ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS problem

Problem solved.

The Fp 1.5.1 instance is working now that I've tweaked the AlterVista patch in defaults.php.
https://lantaca.altervista.org/fp151/

Another 1.6.dev instance is working with a similar patch.

Thanks so much! Everything works. Will future versions have the fix, or do I need to save the default.php file?

Get the "defaults.php" file from fp16dev. I can’t really assess the risks and side effects for other web hosts at the moment. As of today, it remains the special "Lantaca solution" for now.
