I can't Install

Post by cmarangon » Tue Feb 08, 2022 2:43 am

Hello!

I installed FlatPress using Softaculous.
But, I can't install it manually,
in a server without Softaculous.

When I access the /flat folder it shows a blank page.
Nothing is shown unless "this page is not working properly".

Flatpress 1.2.1
PHP Version 7.0.33.

Please, help me.

Have you setted all file permission on FTP program to 777 before the installation?
Try this for first.

Usually I select all files and folders on webspace and I set them to 777. After this you can run the setup.php file and then, once finished and made the first login, you must delete the setup.php file and Setup folder for security reasons. Obviously with the 777 permission is quite easy.

Please see below what I did, but it continues not working.

Error message: 500 server error
I chmoded it all as 755 and error is still there.

I don't know what kind of program are you using, but you have to set 777 permission for EVERY directory, even the subdirectories. Probably you forgot to set 777 permission to them

This is this is counterproductive.
There are 267 files and 32 folders inside the /flat directory.

Fortunately I can install it using Softaculous.

Thank you for your good will to help me.

Kind regards,
