Issue after installing on Raspberry Pi with lighttpd

Post by wpa4711 » Mon Apr 15, 2024 5:37 pm

Hey there,
is here anybody who can help?
I installed the latest version 1.3.zip from the FlatPress website with wget and unzipped it into the web root directory (/var/www/html)
After that I need to change user and group from root to www-data.
Next step was to start FlatPress on the Firefox and I got the register page to insert user, password, email address.
That worked fine and I got the confirmation message that every thing is well.
But when I try to log in, I always get the error message "wrong password". This is impossible because Firefox stored the password.

I reinstalled FlatPress several times and got always the same issue. There is no issue in displaiyng the preconfigured pages, that works well also the phpinfo.

I checked in the users directory. The enterd readable data are correct but the password seems to be encrypted, my be thats the issue?

Here some info about the installed RaspiOS:

Hello @wpa4711,

thank you very much for your feedback. I have created two issues (#378, #377) from your description. I have formulated a few open questions in the issues. Perhaps you can think of a few details so that I can reproduce the problems.

Best regards and have a relaxing weekend
Frank

wpa4711, welcome aboard!

I was able to reproduce your problem on a HTTP-only server (update: And on a second one) with "HTTPS only" deactivated in Firefox. And I created a fix - can you please try again with the latest version of our HTTP/HTTPS development branch?

(Corresponding comment on #378)

All the best,
Arvid

Here's the latest news on that issue: I put it all together in the issue371_httphttps branch.
Can you please perform a final test with the latest version of that branch? If all works fine, this will be released as FlatPress 1.3.1.
Thanks a lot!

All the best
Arvid
