Rebuilding index - How long?

My client has a website where they post daily audio files. They ran into an issue today and I needed to rebuild the index. It's been about an hour and I'm still not seeing any of their previous posts...that go all the way back to 2019! I still see everything is on the server, but not showing up on the website. Should I just give it more time or try to rebuild the index again? Please help! Thanks

I guess you're one your own around here.
Solved my problem by also purging the theme and template cache in case anyone else has this issue moving forward.

thank you for reporting that issue (and the fix)! Never experienced such behaviour, though - how many entries does the affected blog count?
